A Review of the Principles of Electrical & Electronic Engineering: Vol. 4: Microwaves, Communications and Radar

This series is intended to provide, for the benefit of undergraduate and sixth form students as well as for more highly qualified personnel, a thoroughly readable, interesting and basically non-mathematical account of what electrical and electronic engineering is all about.
Microwaves occupy that part of the electromagnetic spectrum where the wavelength is in the range of a few centimetres. They are thus shorter than radio waves but longer than those in the optical region.
